Lizzo

LizzoLizzo joined a band called rock-prog where she sang and played flute. The family she was born into had moved to Denver and she was left on her own in her quest to start her career in Houston. Lizzo lived in her car often sleeping on the floors of her recording studio and showered at the gym. When Lizzo was 20, her father passed away. The two were close and it was a very devastating loss. Lizzo quit the prog-rock group in 2010, following her father's death. Lizzo following only a short time in Denver she moved to Minneapolis in 2011, on the advice by a friend. Lizzo was soon immersed in the city's music scene. She performed with the girls' group Chalice and GRRRL PRTY. The first album she released Lizzobangers was released in 2013 on an independent label.
