Jill Hennessy
Her diverse heritage comprises Irish italians, Swedish, Italians, French, Ukrainians and Irish. Jacqueline is her twin sister. She is also an actor. Jill was proficient in a variety of languages during her growing years. These included Italian, French, and Spanish. When she was 12, she began to become fascinated by acting. In Toronto She began her acting career in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers. She played an escort alongside the twins of her. Then she studied improv comedy at Second City with Deb Kimmet. The actress moved in New York two years later and was offered a contract to portray Detective Assistant Claire Kincaid in the hit long-running series Law & Order. In the three years that she was in New York working on feature films including RoboCop 3 (1993), Ron Howard's The Paper (1996) and I Shot Andy Warhol (1996). Over the next couple of years she became a part of several forgettable films However, in 1999, she landed a starring role on the television miniseries uremberg with Alec Baldwin. Roles in major productions such as Autumn in New York and Exit Wounds followed. Her first lead role was in the NBC crime show Crossing Jordan. And in 2007 for her work to the series she was recognized by Gracie Allen as the "Outstanding Female Lead in a Drama Series". In 2000 she married her co-star Paolo Mastropietro. They have two children. She was honored in 2007 with a place at the Canadian Walk of Fame.
